Weddings, for we Indians is nothing less than a festivity. Everything right from the food, the celebrations, the band bajaa and prolonged ceremonies, are arranged with all the taam jhaam. But, somewhere lost amidst these preparations, it is our health that suffers most. And if you fail to take care of your health during the wedding season, it may well mean missing up on the ceremonies and staying sick at home. So, to aid you enjoy the wedding season with all its celebrations, here are a few tips that you may love considering. Follow them and stay healthy this wedding season.

  1. Care your skin
    Weddings mean a lot of shopping and a lot of makeup. And this can damage your skin, especially if you don’t take care of your skin. Use a cleanser, moisturizer and a sunblock to protect your skin from the heat, sun rays and pollution. Don’t step out in the sun without a layer of protective sunscreen or you may see sun tans all over your body. Suffering through such skin conditions during the wedding season can be a real headache.
  2. Drink packaged water
    No matter whether you are out shopping or are in a wedding, never choose to drink water served in glasses. They are not always pure or hygienic and hence, may lead to stomach infections or even diarrhea.
  3. Carrying a small medicine box
    Always carry a small packet of medicines that you may need during emergency conditions. For instance, it is always wise to carry antacids, digestion enhancing pills, your diabetes and BP medicines in your bag. Thus, in case you suffer from acidity or indigestion, you can always take these medicines and get instant relief.
  4. Avoid over-eating
    During weddings, avoid over-eating or eating very oily food. They can interrupt your diet or also add to your health problems. So, if you are concerned about your health, make sure you avoid over-eating.
  5. Use a toilet sanitizer
    Always carry a toilet sanitizer in your bags whenever you go out or to a wedding. The toilets in weddings are used and left dirty by people. Using such toilets can lead to UTI infections and thus blast your mood to have lots of fun during the wedding season. Peesafe sanitizers and wipes are both ideal for such uses.
  6. Check your blood pressure and diabetes
    During weddings, it is almost impossible to keep a check on your diet and your food habits. Thus, it is important that you eat in small amounts and take care of your diabetes and blood pressure. Check your BP and diabetes with a home check machine to know whether you are in within the safe limits.
  7. Keep away mosquitoes
    Use mosquito repellents to keep away mosquitoes and also diseases such as malaria, dengue and chikungunya. You can use mosquito patches as well as mosquito sprays to keep the mosquitoes away.
