Secret To Long, Shiny, Thick & Healthy Hair!

We always envy others with beautiful soft, thick and lustrous hair. Some of us look for different hair procedures, treatments and spas, that help us enhance the quality of our hair. But, is it that easy to have long, silky and gorgeous hair? Some of us curse our hereditary genes for our not so healthy hair, while some blame the weather, water, food, etc. for their poor hair quality. Well, it's not wrong, as the health of our hair actually depends a lot on each of these factors. They collectively help you have shiny, smooth and long hair, something that we all love and want from the depth of our hearts. So, here are a few practiced and followed tips that ensure you thick and long hair.

  1. Apply Castor, olive and almond oil

Oiling your hair is important, no matter what people say. The natural oils help nourish, strengthen and give a good texture to your hair.

Choose an oil that includes castor oil, almond oil and olive oil. They are best for hair growth and help enhance your hair quality. Castor oil aids re-growth; Almond oil is enriched with Vitamin E that nourishes and strengthens your hair; Olive oil helps keep your hair smooth and grow faster.

How To make: Mix 2 tbsp olive oil and microwave for 15 seconds. Then add 2 tbsp castor oil and 1 tbsp almond oil.

Massage it once a week on your scalp and leave it overnight. The result can be seen within a month.

  1. Shampoo Your Hair MWF

If oiling is important for your hair, shampooing it regularly is also essential. Keep your hair clean and make it a point to shampoo every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Choose a shampoo based on your hair type. Wash your hair slowly, while massaging the roots. Take your time while washing your hair. Never rush when shampooing your hair or you will have shampoo residues in your hair which can lead to hair fall.

  1. Use Milk to Wash your Hair

Milk is the best natural moisturiser for your hair. And no… it is not at all smelly! Apply it all over your hair's length, at least once a week, if not every alternate day. Milk naturally moisturises your hair, adds shine to it and allows it to grow long.

How to apply: Take small bowl of milk, on the day you wish to shampoo your hair. Dip your fingers into it and apply it slowly to the scalp. Take some milk in your palms and then apply it onto the length of your hair. Leave it for 10 minutes and then shampoo your hair.

This will make your frizzy hair manageable, curly hair look nourished and make your dry hair look healthy.

  1. Say No to Hair Dryers

In our fast schedules, we always turn towards electronic appliances that help us get ready quickly. Hair dryers are one of the most essential and widely used hair care appliances. But, if you want your hair to grow long and prevent hair fall, you better stop using them.

After you shampoo your hair, wrap them in a towel for a while. Once you remove the towel, vigorously massage the scalp with your finger tips to enhance the blood circulation. This will boost hair growth and also prevent hair fall.

  1. Curd and Honey for Hair Loss

Make a hair mask with curd and honey. You can apply this mask once in a fortnight on your hair for the best results. Curd is rich in potassium and magnesium. This prevents hair fall. Honey on the other hand adds shine to your hair.

How to make: Take 4 tbsp of curd in a bowl. Mix 1 tbsp honey and mix well. Apply from root to the tip. Leave it for 15 minutes and then shampoo.
